Hi,

Is it possible to install Mac OS X on a PowerMac
5400/200 equipped with a G3 add-on card?

Thanks

Possible, but won't run well. It'll be as
slow as a snail. Minumum memory for
OS X is 128MB. Needs at least 300MB to
run fair. The 5400 only can use 136MB.

It's not even exactly possible at this point without a *lot* of Unix knowledge. XPostFacto doesn't fully support the Alchemy/Gazelle boards yet, and there are lots of holes in the hardware support that have yet to be worked out.

And then there's the RAM issue that bob points out, which really sort of cinches the deal for me. Not worth my time or trouble.
