Subject: Mac OS X cannot connect to server
OS: Mac OS X 10
CPU/Ram: unknown
Model/Manufacturer: Custom
Comment:
Currently trying to connect a Mac OS X 10 machine to a Windows Server 2003 R2 server.

When trying to connect to this server I get the message "the remote server rejected the connection"

Can anybody tell me what this means and how to get around it?

Thanks in advance,

Stuart

Smash the Mac to pieces and get a damn PC. That's the only thing I can think of that would fix it.

Lol that's a very good answer if I had the option I would.

I eventuallly found that some group policy on the R2 server was stopping the Mac from connecting to it.

Thanks anyway!

and yeah, you need to have the same short account name on windows server.

OS X, short username : stuart28
WinR2, account: stuart28

OS X sends short username as login ID.
