When Jaguar is released this month I am going to buy the 17-inch 800 MHz iMac. I am just now getting into programming Flash, and I am taking a Java class this Fall semester of school.

What I want to know is what can I do to get started with programming in OS X? Most of my experience is in VisualBasic and some Flash on PC. I am interested in getting into Java, and I hear that it comes installed with Jaguar. Does anyone have any suggestions on the steps I should take, what software I should buy to get started?

Thanks

Apple has some pretty good documentation
available for programmers. Sign up for the Apple
Developer Site, and get used to it.

I wouldn't recommend buying any software at this
point to get started. There are some good Java
programming books that would be of benefit
though.
