mac os how to go from OS14.11 to the next step

February 1, 2013 at 14:37:37
Specs: Windows XP
My IMAC lost all data, I then used the installation disk hence the 14.11. The problem why I lost everyting is my own fault in trying to fix the mail problem. Anyway I now want to get it back to where it was Snow Leopard, and then up grade it to lion. I also feel I will need it to be upgraded for that move to lion. Any suggestions or will it cost me more to get the processir etc and alll the move to Lion?

Thanks

Your post is a little confusing. So you used your restore disks to get it up and running again. If it didn't come with Snow Leopard on it, did you then upgrade it? You should know how you upgraded it to Snow Leopard. Did you download it from Apple? You may not be able to use Lion if you hardware isn't up to spec. You didn't tell us anything about your system specs, only that it is an iMac. Try to provide more details. When all else fails, call Apple support.
