The Mac OS is compiled only for PowerPC processors. IBM-compatible computers use x86 processors (Pentium, Athlon, Celeron, K6, etc.) which have a completely different instruction set and byte encoding.
If you tried to boot an x86 PC from a Mac OS disk, the PC's bios wouldn't recognize it. You'd probably get a message that says "No operating system founnd."

Mac cannot boot or even be installed on an x86. IBM however did create the PowerPC processor but in your case no because you cant put a PowerPC into a PC.
