Mac MPG player

I was sent an MPG file that quicktime 4.0.3 is unable to play. I know it comes from an IBM enviornment and wonder if I need a different application to play the file. Thanks !

Quicktime can play that file if it is a true mpeg file. The problem might occurr because you might not have the extension installed. Its actually called Quicktime MPEG extension. So go to the updater aplication for quicktime and do custom and download the MPEG extension and install it. Let me know if that doesn't work.

I've tried updated Quicktime extension as you said still doesn't work. Also avi to qt converter doesn't do any good either!

I have the same problem now. I Have a MGP file "Ping Floyd-High Hopes" and my iMac and Quick Time didn't recognize it. If there is another mpg player for Mac can play it..
