I have a redundant Mac 17" multisync monitor which I would like to use on my PC. I know of and have used adaptors which allow you to connect a PC monitor to a Mac. Does anyone know how I can marry a Mac monitor to a PC?

A 17" Multisync monitor should already have a adapter on it. All you need to do is remove the adapter and WALLA!!!
