I have an iMac 400 mhz, with a 56K modem. Up until two weeks ago, I was connecting at speeds up to 48.2. That has changed. I started getting booted off regularly and never stayed connected. I then downloaded the modem script which only allows connection at 28.8. After a complete system re-install I am still only able to connect at 28.8. This is using the imac modem script downloaded from apple. Does anyone know of any init strings I can use to bring this modem back up to speed? I use Earthlink as my ISP. I appreciate any help provided.
