Hiya-
Trying to get mac mail to lift my mail off of our (small)
company's account with register.com, but with no joy.I've tried to contact helpdesks at both Mac and Register.com,
but only get automated responses which are only partially
pertinent.I've got the incoming server set, on POP, for:
mail.lumora.co.ukand the outgoing on:
webmail.register.co.ukand it keeps asking over and over and over again for the
password, which I have also changed around to see if that
what it is. I've also tried what I thought was every other possible permutation, but with no luck there as well...Does anyone have any experience with this? I know it's
register.com and our domain ends with .co.uk-- could
this be mucking things up???more confused than usu,

this is a common bug in mail, and usually occurs when
you have the option ticked for mail to automatically check
mail for you at for example..once every hour. if you turn
this off and check mail manually, it shouldn't keep asking
for the password.Joshua Coventry

Josh-
I disabled the auto mail check thingy, but that doesn't
seem to be it either. It's as if mac mail is having a
problem authenticating my password on the
register.com's webmail. It seems to conntect and then I
get prompted for a psswrd, fill it in, hit okay and then it
kicks back-- that's what I meant by being prompted over
and over again. I've even changed the passwrd a few
times to make sure that wasn't it.Any thoughts?
