It is a mac performa 578 and i need help because all the thing does when i try to get on the internet is an error occured while iniatilizing the serial port. The Computer has 36mb of ram and is a 66mhz with a us robotics 33.6 mac modem. Reply: (edit)Have you checked the network settings, your ISP should be able to help. With out knowing more about what may have happened. If things all of a sudden quit working proberly, your battery may have died. Is the date going to 8/19/56? Other than that, if you recently installed something and you can't get on to the internet from that point. You may try to delete it completely and see if you can get on the internet. Without knowing more that's the best I can do. Good Luck
