I've recently installed a 120GB WD drive in my G4 to
replace a 20GB that came with the computer. I'm
using it as boot drive with Mac OS 10.4. My computer
won't go to sleep anymore. I re-installed my old 20GB
drive with the same OS. It works fine.
I've also tried installing another 120GB WD drive, with OS
10.4. Computer still won't go to sleep. Looks like a
problem with the 120 GB drives and not with Tiger

Has anybody encountered this problem? Any idea how to
fix it? I checked with Western Digital support and I didn't
find anything suggesting a problem with sleep on Mac g4.

Thanks

Robert

Is it set to AutoSelect or Slave or Master jumper settings?
Formatted with Apple Disk Utility?
