Comment: I purchased and successfully installed a dlink DI-614+ wireless router on my Mac original G3 desktop and a DWL-650+ wireless cardbus adapter on my girlfriend's Dell 3800 laptop. I would also like to have wireless capability for my Mac G3 laptop but the 650+ does not appear to be Mac compatable and the folks at dlink have no solution other than their DWL-810+ which requires an external power source and destroys the concept of portability. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a wireless pc card that would be compatible with my wireless router and my G3 laptop (which has no usb port)? Thanks much. Richard Rosenthal

Reply: (edit)Would your G3 be able to take a airport card. And if you are just reading the lables on the Dlink router to see if it is Mac compatible, you are doing it all wrong. My Linksys router doesn't say Mac compatible, but it is. Why is it compatible but doesn't say it, because they all use the same protocol, 802.11b. I say spend the money for an airport card, and just try it out, doesn't work return it but it most likely will. The only known issue I know if, is if you use WEP keys to put a password on the connection. For that you would use the normal encripted line they give you, but infront of it just put a "$" (without quotes).
