Comment: I have a G3 (blue) and I am on a network with one Mac (G4) and a PC (old Dell). I have a Linksys 4 port ethernet DSL router. There connections are fine...when they type in a url it comes up quickly but mine just acts like it is clogged (5 secs maybe more) and then all of a sudden it loads. I had cable access with a fixed IPs before and there were no problems. Linksys Tech support says that it is not a networking problem and they can't help me.help.

Reply: (edit)Linksys tech support is 1) crap 2) unhelpful 3) prone to hanging up on you when the word "Macintosh" or any derivative thereof is mentioned. For this reason, I recommend against buying their products under any circumstances. If you've updated to the latest firmware in your router, try dropping back to the 1.39.something update, which has fixed some problems for folks at MacInTouch. If that's not the issue, I'd try selling the Linksys and buying a better router, like a Hawking or a Farallon Netopia. p
