what mac os does she have? There is a program called maclan that would work if you configured it right. If you can get on the internet with the mac, you could setup a ftp, and transfer it through "the internet". The latter would require an ftp program for the mac which you should be able to get for free. If you have windows 2000 or xp (the pc) then you should be able to make a ftp host for free. You can get a free dynamic dns service provider from www.noip.org. goto their site for more info on that.

make sure on the mac, u resave the files in formats the PC can read.

for example, Appleworks is not a format the PC can read. so you will have to open the file and save in TEXT format. i'm not sure if appleworks can save as Word compatible.

also, on the PC, files use file extensions. Microsoft word files have .DOC at the end of their filenames.

Yes. Just connect the mac running OS X to the network, set one as the DHCP server and the other as getting an address automatically and tell them both to share files (right click share then set up on windows, sys prefs, sharing, windows sharing on mac os x). Bingo.

Maybe you should start a new thread, because I have no idea what you're saying... try not using so many abbreviations.
