i read that mac's have less spyware and viruses etc. they say its because they are more stable, but could it also be because there are so much fewer mac users? i was just thinking could they have fewer viruses because for example, if someone writes a viruses, wouldn't they want to infect as many computers as possible? isnt that the point of the virus?

anyone know if if its because mac's are more stable, or if its because there are just fewer... or both?

there are not as many, but there are some, mac's are software driven moreso,so both would be correct, theres marco and java and spyware around, coding would be a deterent, what i was concerned with once was emails picking up windows trojan attachments, not seeing them as a threat, and being forwarded to others over the web unknowingly using windows, now a days, with firewalls and such, it's time consuming...:)
