You need the Mac client for Novell. Unfortunately, Novell dropped all official Mac support several years ago. The client development and support was handed-off (or purchased) by ProSoft Engineering. The latest client version is available at: http://www.prosofteng.com/index.php?prod&netware&cbrief.

Actually, Novell has just (11-01) released Native File Access Pack, which allows the use of the Chooser and TCP/IP to replace Appletalk and IPX and the old client method. This NFAP is inexpensive ($200 download from Novell site) and can enable Windows and Unix/Linux as well (if you want). It installs on the server, not the client.
Passwords are affected and installation is not too clear but it works!
