Hi, I have Mac Classic 2 and it refuses to boot. I turn it on and it does its start up and I am displayed with a gray screen. Nothing happens no logos. Sometimes the display looks messed up, sometimes nothing is displayed but most of the time it is a gray screen.

Have you tried putting in a boot floppy?
It could be that the OS needs a reinstall.
You might want to open up your Classic to check out the motherboard, sometimes leaking capacitors are the problem.

This is extreemly common, it usualy means that there is imroper termination of the hard disk, or that the hard disk is dead. i would lean more twords the hard disk being dead, because the drive is extreemly old, 80mo or less :)
