I have a G3 400. Need to know if it has a BIOS. If so...
Make: (AMD, AMI, Award, Phoenix)?
Model: ?
Where can I get this information?
Thanks in advance...

Macs have ROMs, not BIOS. This is my understanding. You cannot access the ROMs, nor replace them without serious knowledge of apple hardware and parts which may not be available to the user or the public at large. It's NOT a PC! Please don't treat it like one.

Fez is essentially correct. The Mac actually DOES have a BIOS and it is stored in ROMs. Those ROMs are replaceable, if they are defective, but are not flash-ROMs and cannot be reprogrammed. But the system preferences that would, on a PC, be set in BIOS are easily configurable in the Macs control panels.
That being said, it's worth noting that the Mac is a LOT easier to configure and use, once you follow Fez' advice and treat it as a different animal.

Byron, thank you for expouding on the subject of the Rom/Bios similarity and the inherent differences. I found your explanation quite thorough.

errr... just to clarify...
yes, macs have a bios harwired into a rom... or something similar... actualy, that bios is in fact flasheable.
It is correct that anything you would need to change on a bios can be done from the control panels, but, not all you would like to be able to change.
Macs also have something called "firmware", wich is a piece of software, but not dinamically loaded. It is like the software on a calculator, it is in that rom space. It can be accessed through some apple utilities. If you are really interested in that, check darwin and MacOS X development in apple's site.
