I just purchased an ibook off ebay and am trying to connect to my wireless network at home. I am not sure what I am doing since this is my first Mac. I had a dell that stoped working right after the warrentee ran out. I have a netgear super G router through a cable high-speed. How do I configure this and how do I find out what my airport password is?

You airport doesn't have a password on it, you need to enter the encryption password for the Netgear router if you have WEP or WPA encryption enabled.
Click on the Airport icon in the menu bar and then down to "Other". In the window the pops up add the Network SSID name, and if using encryption select the encryption level and the password that goes with it.
