Is it true if your an Apple employee you get a free .Mac address? I am at a small store and would like more information regarding an address. Thanks!

Uh, Apple employee != employee of a store that happens to sell Mac-compatible products.

Unless you *work* for the company (i.e., you have an office in Cupertino), somehow I rather doubt you're eligible.

Two kinds of mac addresses.

Employees and contracted employees (not direct employees) get "@apple.com" and a combo of first or first and lastname moniker at beginning.

General public get "@mac.com" suffix. Used to be free, now Apple charges for it.
