I recently bought a new external HD, and moved all my photos and tunes onto it, after partitioning it. All of the photos are there, safe and sound, but a decent number of my itunes tracks have gone AWOL, and i can;t find them anywhere, either in their old location, or the new disk. It isn't entire albums, but just random tracks. Anyone else come across this, and got any thoughts for where (if anywhere) they might be? Thanks

is the external hard drive brand new? because maybe cable is dodgy and happend to come lose while transfering. was the external hardrive removed during moving? and was it removed properly or just pulled out? any of these could have caused data to go missing and it just depends on when it happens to what you have lost.

could be, but it is just completely random tracks that have gone. Plus i din't move the disk since i got it, and it has been working fine since i got it. pretty pissed about losing the tracks thogh. any other ideas? thanks for the response.
