Hi,I have a Linksys WRT54GX router and I can connect and get ok signal being close to the router, or outside, but if I go 100 yds in the house, it immediately drops in signal strength from excellent or good, straight to very low then loose connection, then it will have trouble re-connecting.
I've been on the phone with AppleCare and Linksys Support, did an upgrade on the firmware, tried some different settings, I am currently using WPA, and to no avail. I've also tried a Belkin N1 and was on support with them too, and still the same problem. My system also has the built in Airport as well. Everything is came loaded as discribed below.
Are there any drivers, fixes, recommended settings, wireless boosters, something that can assist me with increasing my range and connectivity, speed would be a blessing too. Really thought switching to Mac from PC would be a great thing, thus far only one problem after another. Very disappointed so far...
