I have an imac 600. It has a G3 processor with 256 megs of ram. I am running OS 10.1.5.
I have a Lexmark Z53. I downloaded the OSx server from the Lexmark site, I installed it but all it will do is print a test page, an alignment page, and it will clean the nozzles. If I try to print anything , it will go through the motions but nothing happens. I just get an error message.
When I check the printer status , it says ... Printer Status: Error.
I checked my connections and everything is plugged in , the printer is plugged in and is turned on. The printer will even make noise like it's getting ready to print then nothing.
After I installed the printer driver, it went through the set up procedure, but no icon appeared for it. When I check my hard drive it only shows that I have the OS9 version. I've tried reinstalling the OSx server but I get the same results.
If anyone knows what to do, I would appreciate some advice. I'm not very computer savy.
Thanks.
Ricardo
