Comment:

Have an old Mac LCII running system 7.5.3 and At Ease 2.0.3 used in a school classroom.

The Mac was originally (years ago) connected to the school's network in a media lab. It was abandoned by the school and is now used standalone for lower elementary games.

Because it was set up for network use, it requires an administrator password to have access/visibility to any set up functions, including seeing the hard drive so that more games can be added.

Password is unknown. IT department isn't available today and they may well not know anymore what the password is.

Is there a way to start without the password, to bypass the password or break through it without reinstalling the system? (This is not Unix, Win NT or OS-X. It can't be that hard!!!)

Grab one of Gamba's SuperBooters, mount the hard drive, and throw out all traces of At Ease.

Better yet, get System 7.1 while you're at it and watch the Mac magically get five times faster :)
