Comment: Hi, It's me again. I am doing some work in a local elementrary school and I am running the Mac CPU department, and am co-running the PC department. We have a Mac LC 630, running OS 7.5 in one of the kindergarden classrooms. It is curently using At Ease. One problem we are curently have is that the Mac will not shut down correctly... sometimes. When we go in at ease or we are in the main selection area, and we click the shutdown button, the machines kills At Ease however, not the OS. We are now stuck, unable to do anything except move the mouse around, and we can't shut down. Sometimes this happens, but sometimes it will shut down (3/10 times). Now if this was my machine I would just pull the plug in the back of the machine - which is what we are doing now - however, since this is a JR/CR Kindergarden class room, this is very dangerous for some of these young children. Can anyone help me... and think of the children, OH PLEASE WOULD YOU THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!! :-) Thanx

Reply: (edit)Try to rebuild the desktop 1) hold down the "optoin and apple command" keys. 2) start the computer while holding the keys down. 3) wait until a message is displayed that says, "would you like to rebuild the desktop now" click on yes. Hope this helps.
