Hi,
I have a Powermac 7300/200 running OS 9.1 and a LaserWriter Select. It was given to me as a present (the printer), and I have no idea how to set it up. I have plugged the wires into the correct ports (printer port) but I don't know what to do from there. They did not give me any drivers or anything.
Any help is appreciated.
Adam

Go to the Chooser and select "LaserWriter 8."
If the printer doesn't show up, make sure AppleTalk is set to the printer port.

I too have a LaserWriter 360, only I need
to connect it to an iMac.My AppleTalk dialogue box doesn't have
the printer port option, only ethernet and
remote. The printer is conected to my iMac (but I'm
not sure if it's the right cable), LaserWriter
8 driver is in the extensions folder.
Where's my print monitor? Why isn't an
icon in the control strip?I am not sure what's what.

You'll need to have either a USB-serial
adapter or an Ethernet hookup for that
LaserWriter Select in order to connect it to
an iMac.Do you have one of those?

I have a tower running os 8.6 and got a
laser write 360 from a friend.
I have the laser writer 8 icon in the
chooser, but it won't print (the cable is
connected to the printer port) how do i
solve this problem? do i need to
download the drive, and where do i do
that?
thanx,
anat
