Some of my Javascript functions won't work properly when I'm running IE5 with Mac. They work when I'm running IE4 with Mac & PC and they work with IE5 and PC. Has anyone else had the same problem? What is the problem?

You have to be sure that Javascript is activated to run with your internet explorer, you can activate or desactive it in the menu tools - options and select the advanced tag.

I have problems with Javascript on IE5
mac too. Mine might be different. I have
very few problems but one of them that
pisses me off big is the height and width
variables of a windowOpen command. My
Javascript seems to always make the
new window the same size as the
previous one. If someone would help me
Id appreciate it a lot.

Greetings,
First off, my name is Dan and I am having the same type of frustrating problems with Mac and Javascript var's. I wrote a javascript that declares three variables HELP, SEARCH, SITEMAP. These variables contain strings that write in HTML links. This is used repeatedly as a menu system on all of my pages. Problem is that it only works on PC!??! When I open it on a mac the html text HELP, SEARCH, SITEMAP is getting written but the link is somehow lost, so when I roll-over it is no clickable.
VERY Frustrating.

If anyone knows if there is an issue with mac and javascript or mac IE and javascript or ANYTHING that would help Please email me or repond to this post.

I've just been reading a lot about issues
with IE5 JavaScript implementation.
Turns out that IE5 Mac closely adheres to
the W3C DOM implementation, which
means a good number of IE4+ Win
JavaScript objects, events and methods
are not supported. That's right: we have
another browser to watch out for when
doing browser sniffing for UI
implementation. There are a lot of good
articles on Apple's Developer
Connection:

javascript/

Best,

Andy
