Jaguar installation issue

I would need some help. When I reboot my G4 on the CD to install 10.2, a window launches the apple and a spinning wheel...after a few seconds, I get a message that says that I have to restart my computer...I can do that 20 times and it still doesn't install Jaguar.
Does anyone have heard about that? Should I let my G4 running for a few more minutes and see what's going on?

On the OS X installs (Jaguar), partition the IDE disk with 8 or less gigs in partition 1, then the rest in partition 2. Jaguar doesn't seem to like big (>8 GB)IDE disks. I don't know about SCSI. This is on my G3. Use the disk tool in the file menu, during the install. I would prefer 1 partition, but it works. For a multi-boot like you're doing this may work - or you may never see your prior data. BACK IT UP!
