Comment: Picked up an externall harddrive and am looking to backup my music onto that drive. I'm not able to cut-and-paste from the iTunes software to the external. I can copy, but there's no "paste" on the menu for the external. Any suggestions.

Your Username/Music/ to your external hard
drive? That should even get all your playlists, although
I'm not sure if that will pick up preferences.
