I have an iMac G3 (late 2001 slot-loading edition) which I recently upgraded to run Mac OS X Jaguar (10.2). I also have a second-generation iPod nano. I would like to see if I can get the iPod nano to work with this older system (the nano's requirements state that Mac OS X 10.3 with iTunes 7.0 is needed. As I cannot run iTunes 7.0 on Mac OS X Jaguar, this approach seems pointless). I have contacted Smart Computing technical support, and they suggest using a tool such as YamiPod (www.yamipod.com) or iPod Viewer (homepage.mac.com/initgraf).
I have been considering on using iPod Viewer to manage my nano. My question: Is this an all-in-one tool, or can I use it as an iTunes "sync replacement"? As my new iPod will not work with iTunes 4.7-6.2, I need an alternative iPod sync utility. iPod Viewer seems like a good choice, but I don't know if it will act as a sync utility, or if it will even work with my 2G iPod nano.
There is no documentation on the web site, and the program's author has not returned my e-mail. If I switch to YamiPod, I have the same concerns: If it will work with my iPod nano, and if it a full sync utility.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

megapixel cam, 4GB or 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP, WiFi that automatically engages when in range, and quad-band GSM radio with EDGE.
