urgent hello needed,

i was playing a song on my ipod and i placed it in the
dock which was connected to my computer. This caused
an error message to come up saying, itunes cannot read
contents of ipop, please use the update feature to restore
factory settings.

I dont eant ot lose the contenst of my ipod to fix this
problem, how can i fix it??

It won't erase your songs, it'll just return the iPod back to it's factory settings (you know, like EQ settings playlist resets etc etc.) but all your info will remain on the HDD. When my iPod did that, I thought the same thing but I decided to go with it anyway and it was all okay.

I have the same exact problem......AOnly i have download and updated but it still gives me this message. Did it work for you?
