You need something like Toast in order to burn CDs. Toast comes with a driver for it, IIRC, that is capable of reading CDs in the drive.

dangit... i HATE toast... why do you even want drivers!? my zip650 works fine with MAC OS X... like i can burn and crap straight from the os... like, totally!

Ben makes a very good point. I keep forgetting that Apple is including CD burning software with all new Macs. So yeah, if you're running a Mac capable of using 9.1, you *should* just be able to use Disc Burner, although you might have some issues if it's running off a USB PCI card.
'Course, I don't think that will solve a problem of not being able to *read* CDs.
