I have a 100 Meg zip disk that cannot be read.
MAC disk first aid says b tree errors, but it cannot
fix. Tried Disk warrior and Norton, neither one of
those worked either. Any suggestions? Are all
the files on disk lost?
Thanks

Larry,
If it contains vital data - I would suggest opening
the yellow pages and tracking down an Apple
Technical Centre - not a place that sells new
Macs, but a place that deals soley in repairs (base
level techicians) - as these centres often
specialize in "data retreival".
Some of them even have special equipment (not
software) to pull the data off dead hard drives, Zip
or Jaz disks.
I have one close to me (here in Australia) called
Xyber - who do nothing else but repair Mac
hardware and retrieve data. With dead Zips, they actually dismantle the case,
remove the disk media itself and implant it into
another case with a fresh new spindle.Iomega is becoming synonymous with faulty
Drives and faulty disks. I stopped using them
around 4 years ago - their data integrity just
stopped matching up with the high quality of the
original SCSI 100 MB Zip Drive.Have now turned to external FireWire Drives, USB
Drives, and CD-Rs.Take a gander at this possibility for the future:

As for your current situation - definately seek out
those specializing in Data Retrieval.cheers
