Hello, I am running a PC network which is set up for "internet connection sharing". I connected an Apple to this PC network using a hub and cables. My PC gave the apple an IP address. Although the PC was connected to the internet, i could not connect to the internet using the apple.

I don't know anything about MAC's so i would like to ask you a few questions:-

Q1. Can you confirm that safari is the internet browswer program? If it isn't, what is?

Q2. How do you connect the apple to the internet, through a LAN?

Q3. How can I check network connectivity on the apple? is there a "ping" command on my computer? Can I enter commands in a command prompt window as on the PC?
