Subject: installing OS 9 after OS X
OS: OS 10.2
CPU/Ram: powerPC G3, 350 MHz
Comment:

I had a very sick Mac using 9.0.4 and I decided to
upgrade to 10.2. Because the previous system had
so many problems I wiped it and the OS X installed
beautifully. Only then did I realize that I could not
run Classic because I had no OS 9. (I had foolishly
assumed it was included.) So now I am obtaining OS
9.2 from a special upgrade program for purchasers
of OS 10.2. The question is How will I install it? I
will need details since, clearly, I am a bit of an idiot.

second problem: My printer does not have an OS X
compatible driver available (Epsom stylus 2500).
(Yes, I should have checked before upgrading the
operating system.) Presumably I can get a driver for
9.2, if I ever get that running, but will that mean I
cannot print anything in OS X?
Thank you for your help, lo

Hi lo.

I had to install OS 9.2 after OS X on my work computer.

It was easy.

I can't remember the name of the icon to start the install procedure but you'll know what it is when you see it.

Just read any readme files and documentation included.

Take care

Linda
