I have a box that was built for Windows XP. I was wondering if I can install Mac X instead. If so, what will be my first step.

Thanks!

Is that an empty box with no motherboard?
If that box contains PC components as in intel processor, you can not install OS X.
However, you can load windows OS and find an emulator for OS X.

Thanks!!! Yes, it does have a intel processor... Could I use a different processor (ex: AMD)?

Thanks!

No. You basically need to use Mac Parts as in Motorola Processor and Motherboard. Basically rebuilding the comptuer from grounds up with Mac parts. If you are going to do that I would check eBay. To tell you the truth, it will cost you more to rebuild it than purchasing one on eBay.
Lots of luck :-)
