Subject: Installing Mac OS on multiboot PC?? |
Comment: I have a PC which i currently have System Commader as my boot program...I run Win3.1, Win95, Win98, WinNT4.0, Win2k, and several Unix based OSes. I would like to add Mac OS on as well, i have not seen much info on installing Mac on a PC...and dont have a Mac, I hear you need a Mac ROM? is that a hardware component of is that something i can download? I have heard it is both and am confused...If anyone can give me detailed instructions to installing Mac on PC please EMAIL ME AT rootiumiii@aol.com. thanks Kris

Reply: (edit)Kris, I have never heard of it done, I don't know if it is even possible, although i would like to do the same. I can tell you that OS X will not run on your computer because it REQUIRES a G3 or G4 OS 9 may, but Im not sure how it would go about doing it. But if you do hear anything I would be interested in knowing. Good Luck

Reply: (edit)your best bet is a mac software emulator, which I've heard exists but I'm not sure where to get it and from what I've heard it emulates a very old mac, so this will probably not meet your requirements. As far as actually installing mac os's directly on a pc it's not possible due to the differences in hardware on the machines.
