I have recently downloaded Mac OS 7.0.1, and I want to install it on my computer. Is there any special requirments that I should know of or need. It doesnt matter if I erase WINDOWS 98 as I have had enought with it because its on the wrong computer and is slow. The file I downloaded is called "System 7.0.1.smi". What am I sposed to do with it? Do I need a special installer? HELP ME

It won't install on a PC, only a Mac.

The equivalant of MacOS 7.0.1 that would run fine on an Olivetti would be Windows for workgroups 3.1.1.. It's outdated, but no more so than MacOS 7.0.1, and it would run Faaast

It's really impossible to install Mac OS 7.1 on a PC, because a PC use x86 processors, and Mac use Motorola or IBM PowerPC Processors, which are completely different.
