Comment: Hi. Currently I have OS 9 and 10.2 on my computer. I want to erase everything on the Hard drive first. If I erase the HD, and install 10.3.WIll I need to install 9? Could I erase the HD then install 9 and then 10.3? %00

Reply: (edit)I know you need OS9 only if you want to run Classic apps..if your only going to run OSX apps you don't actually need it.. This page - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?art num=106294#m9 -of Apple's might help though..it appears you can do it either way between 10.2 and OS9, but i don't know, with 10.3 you might well need to install 9 first ,if you plan to use any 9x apps .. %00
