Comment:

InDesign CS2 froze up on me, and i had to forcequit with a document open. and now, InDesign will start, but it will not open a document (new or existing). It gives me the "InDesign has discovered a serious error, and is shutting down" message.

i tried to uninstall and reinstall, but it still wont work. however when i did try to uninstall it the uninstall directions told me to quit a process titled something like "IDHRemind" but it was not showing up in the list of running applications. is it possible that this is what is causing the trouble?

Reply:

make sure you got rid of all the componets for Indesign
try removing InDesign from the preferences file from ~/
Library/Preferences and
re-launching.
