well i guess either the pickle new and didnt want to tell you or was just giving out ideas.
im going out on a limb: no iMove cannot edit mpeg it has to be digital format. Quick time, etc..
you can play them on a mac, you just need to convert them, and i believe it is simple if you have the lastest Mac OS x software, its a just question of saving it as something readable by mac to edit, and mpeg is not one of them... good luck.

DV Stream is the thing. You can export them from QT.

You can convert it with Quicktime, but I think you need the Quicktime Pro upgrade to do so.
