Subject: Image 20gb Hard Drive in PantherOS: Mac OS 10.3.9CPU/Ram: 400mhz G3, 384mb RAMModel/Manufacturer: Apple iMac :-) |
Comment: Hello, I have a 20gb harddrive connected to my iMac G3 via USB from my PowerBook G4 (550mhz, 512mb RAM). Is there a way that I can image this harddrive using my iMac to write the image to another harddrive to replace the 20gb one from my PowerBook? I've tried using Disk Utility, but it said that the disk (20gb) was too large. My iMac has a large (enough) harddrive with 30gb free. Thanks

Reply: (edit)Problem solved: I just had to use another operating system (I used OS X 10.3 instead of 10.3.9) as there is a bug or something preventing larger disks to be imaged with 10.3.9.
