Comment: Ok, I made a music video at home for school (I have a comptuer class) and I burned it onto a cd using the XP standard burning program (drag files into the CD and it burns) well.... I'm here at school on the iMac (the pod one) and its not reading it as a CD that has MAC readable files. The files are .Mpeg and .WMV and this iMac has windows media player on it. I do not know why its not reading the CD. can anyone help me?

Reply: (edit)it sounds like your windows machine back home has "burn for windows machines only" selected. You can set your burner to burn for Windows only or both mac and pc...it sounds like you have burn a windows only cd try popping it in a windows machien and see if it runs. If it runs fine in the windows machine then thats whats wrong.

Reply: (edit)you've answered you own question,,, "...(drag files into the CD and it burns)..." the drag n drop method in xp is not a mac standard. (it's a windows udf file type). you should burn with a setting for sharing with anyone, the exact wording is different with each program.
