OS: OS 9.2.1
CPU/Ram: 233 - maxed out ram

Well, thinking i was making my machine
better.. i may have messed it up!

Here's the deal: I wanted to upgrade to
some software (Adobe products) that was
only 9.2 - X compatible, so I upgraded my
233 imac (first of the aqua's) to 9.2.1. (my
ram is maxed out also, and my virtual
memory is set at 300k) Next, i installed a
few programs, not thinking about my
shortage of memory. I got an warning
reminding me of my low memory, so.. i
decided to remove most of the programs..
I gained memory, but now my computer
doesn't last but 5 minutes without
slowing down to a stop. Eventually
sometimes, it revives itself, and starts
working again.. but If i have more then
one window open in IE, it will slow down
to a freeze (with the mouse still moving).
I've tried shutting the program down, and
when that works, it still is in slow motion
mode.. then revives itself. Any ideas?

Turn VM off. Your RAM is maxed out - you don't need it on.
