My new roommate has an Imac, and I have a pc with windows xp. she has cable internet and bought me a linksys etherfast dsl router with four port switch befsr41. I am not at all familiar with imac and can't even get the cd rom to run for installation. Is it possible to do this? I am not a computer geek, thanks for your help.

All the setup for the router can be accessed via a web browser. Open a web browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and hit enter. A window will pop-up asking for a username/password. The default for Linksys is admin/admin. You'll now be seeing the router interface pages. You can use the manual to show you how to set up all the necessary settings.
