iMac Parts

Subject: iMac Parts
OS: 9 & 10
CPU/Ram: 128?
Model/Manufacturer: iMac
Comment:
I have an iMac computer that died (the motherboard is bad). I have another iMac (one generation younger) that works fully except not very much memory or a very big hard drive. Would it be possible for me to move the hard drive and memory (or one of the two) to the older computer so it will hopefully go faster and have at least OS X? They both look very similar (like parts may be interchangable)

If you are referring to a G3 iMac with a slot-loading and
tray-loading drive they are not compatible with each other.
Generally if you have two of the same kind however you can
swap parts between the two models.

Good luck!
