Comment:

My brother pushed my iMac off the table recently and now it wont startup.

i took the back cover off to examine it and it all looks fine. When the power button is pressed a yellow LED lights up on the main logic board.

My question is, what else do you think it could be? i know the CRT must be gone, so i was planinng to use the VGA port for video. If its the down controler board, how do i test if its working or not?

Any help would be appreciated

Nic

Update: I fiddled again and tried to turn it on and this time it made sounds like it was going to boot before it stopped

Just thought I'd add that in

Thanks again

Please don't take this the wrong way, but it sounds like a
perfect excuse to go shopping for a new G5!
