Can anyone give me some advice on buying memory for my iMac G4 800Mhz? I would like some recommendations on where to buy the memory and whether or not to fork out the extra cash for the good stuff. Crucial UK sell 512MB for 160GBP but I have found a web site in the States that sells a generic 1GB upgrade kit for 160USD = 110 quid and a better quality 1GB kit for 260USD = 165 quid. Is the good stuff worth it? Anyone know a reputable ram supplier?
At pesent there is 256MB in the "apple" slot only. I want to go for the full 1GB, my local mac place said they would charge me 35 quid for to upgrade the apple slot (so as to not void the warranty), I can do the user slot myself.

Crucial is good but almost anything is good if you get a lifetime warranty.
ramseeker.com might help you decide.

I suggest you go with crucial or tcwo. they are big name vendors who you can trust plus their memory is usually top class. just make sure you get pc-133 because apple computers still don't use the faster rambus or DDR memory yet.
