I have an apple iMac G3 (Bondi Blue, slot-style CD Drive version) which seems to have some kind of serious problem...
I inserted an audio CD into it, the system crashed, so i restarted it.. and no it won't boot properly... the CD is stuck in the drive, and as far as i know i have no way of getting it outta there.
When i try booting it up, the iMac either freezes on the startup screen (the purple loading bar screen) once the progress bar reaches 15% or so.
Either that, or it'll reach the desktop screen but won't load any of my icons, then freezes not long after.
i can't seem to find any kind of emergency-eject feature in/around the CD drive, and i think if i could somehow eject the CD it'll solve this problem... does anyone know if/how i could get to my desktop a different way to try and eject the CD?i did manage to get to the desktop screen once before, all of my icons appeared EXCEPT for the CD drive....
i'm really stuck with this and would greatly appreciate some help!!!

Try booting while holding the mouse down. This should eject
the CD.There should also be a tiny pin hole next to the CD entrance.
You can push a paper clip in there to eject.
