I have an iMac (the old bondi blue one) and recently whenever I put a CD in it says it is unreadable. It then goes through all the "do you wish to initialize" messages. I had this problem a month ago, but it only occasionally did this. (1 out of 10 times roughly) It has gotten progressively worse and now it will not even work just once. It is defintely not a disk problem. (I have tested the disks elsewhere) Do you think it needs to be looked at by a tech? Or maybe just cleaned? Or a software problem, and how could I fix it? Thanks.
